Recipe Guide

How do I get the natural fizz?

The fermentation of water kefir grains or ginger bug creates carbonation, giving the drink its light sparkle.

Can I adjust the sweetness?

Yes, feel free to add more cane sugar during fermentation or a splash of honey/agave before serving (note: honey isn't vegan).

Is it necessary to use non-metallic utensils?

Non-metallic utensils are important for handling fermenting cultures, as metal can inhibit their activity and impact fermentation.

Can I substitute water kefir grains?

Ginger bug is an excellent alternative; it produces a slightly spicier beverage with similar health benefits and fizz.

How do I serve this beverage?

Pour over ice cubes in glasses and garnish with orange slices and extra mint leaves for a refreshing presentation.

Is this drink suitable for vegans and gluten-free diets?

Yes, all listed ingredients are vegan and gluten-free. Use plant-based sweeteners to maintain vegan status.
