# What you'll need:

01 - 1 wheel Brie cheese (approximately 8 oz)
02 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
→ Condiments
03 - 3 tablespoons fig jam
→ Pastry
04 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
→ Garnish (optional)
05 - 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
07 - Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving
# Method:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Arrange the puff pastry sheet on the prepared baking sheet and position the Brie wheel in the center.
03 - Spread the fig jam evenly over the top of the Brie wheel.
04 - Sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans and fresh thyme leaves over the fig jam, if using.
05 - Fold the puff pastry up and over the cheese, pleating to fully enclose it, then pinch the seams to seal.
06 - Brush the exterior of the pastry with the beaten egg to achieve a golden, glossy finish.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown.
08 - Allow to rest for 10 minutes, then transfer to a serving platter and accompany with crackers or sliced baguette.
