04 - 4 large egg yolks
05 - 1/2 cup sour cream
06 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - Vegetable oil, for frying
09 - 1 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
→ Candy & Sweets
10 - 1 cup pastel Jordan almonds
11 - 1 cup white chocolate-covered pretzels
12 - 1 cup pink and white marshmallows
13 - 1/2 cup gummy candies (butterflies, hearts, or flowers)
14 - 1/2 cup meringue kisses
→ Fruit
15 - 1 cup fresh raspberries
16 - 1 cup strawberries, halved
17 - 1 cup seedless grapes
→ Sweet Dips
18 - 1/2 cup lemon curd
19 - 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
# Method:
01 - Whisk together flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Incorporate egg yolks, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for five minutes until smooth, cover, and allow to rest for 20 minutes.
02 - Roll dough very thin, approximately 1/8 inch thick. Cut into strips measuring 1 by 4 inches. Create a 1-inch slit in the center of each strip and pull one end through the slit to form a twisted shape.
03 - Heat vegetable oil to 350°F in a deep pan, approximately 2 inches deep. Fry strips in batches for about one minute per side until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
04 - Arrange cooled angel wings as the centerpiece on a large wooden board or platter. Cluster candies, fruits, and meringue kisses attractively around the wings. Place lemon curd and vanilla yogurt in small bowls among the sweets for dipping. Optionally, garnish with edible flowers or gold leaf.
05 - Present the finished board immediately and enjoy with guests.
