03 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 24 ounces jar marinara sauce
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
07 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
→ Cheese Mixture
10 - 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
11 - 1 large egg
12 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
13 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
14 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
15 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
→ Assembly
16 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
17 - Extra Parmesan cheese, for topping
# Method:
01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 - Boil ramen noodles for 2 minutes less than package directions. Drain well and set aside.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
04 - Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and dried oregano to the skillet. Sauté, breaking up meat, until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
05 - Pour in marinara sauce, mix thoroughly, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
06 - In a medium mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, salt, and ground nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
07 - Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange a layer of ramen noodles over sauce, breaking noodles as needed to fit. Spread half of the ricotta mixture on top of noodles, then sprinkle with one third of the mozzarella cheese.
08 - Continue layering with meat sauce, ramen noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, and another third of the mozzarella. Add a final layer of noodles, top with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella, then sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese over the top.
09 - Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, until cheese is golden and bubbling.
10 - Allow lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
